Following a special weekend on the 7th May of the unveiling's of our mum/nan, dad/koro it was straight over the Auckland Harbour Bridge and back to our new home in the beautiful Far North to meet with our amazing whanaunga, Tainui Stephens and kaumātua, Hone & Mareea Paitai along with staff for karakia to bless and move forward within that world of tikanga for the opening day of Whānau Meats! Monday was a busy day with lots of meat preparation and applying those final, finishing touches before opening our doors to our community and new whānau of Kaitaia. And boy did they come! These first few weeks have been a whirlwind of meeting all our new whānau/customers, running out of pork bones (not for too long though!), restocking faster than you can say 'Whānau Meats' and trying to figure out this running a business, business! Haha you know what they say though - you've just got to dive right in there and (to borrow Dora's line) 'keep on swimming'! Thank you all so much for your visits, your amazing feedback and comments and we so look forward to being a part of your whānau by providing the best quality kai and of course, that exceptional service with a smile!
